Bob is a seasoned senior financial executive with a broad based background spanning over 40 years with 3 publicly traded companies. He has deep experience in the areas of investor relations, treasury, and corporate finance which include Herman Miller, Inc., Enphase Energy, and Energy Conversion Devices. Bob served as a member of the Board of Directors of Byron Bank and its parent O.A.K. Financial Corporation, a publicly traded company. He chaired the Audit Committee and was also a member of the Directors’ Loan Committee and the Executive Committee. Bob, along with the other board members, played a key role in providing guidance as the bank successfully rebuilt its senior management team. In his board role, Bob was engaged in completing the successful merger with Chemical Bank in 2010 and later served on the Board of Chemical Bank West Michigan until leaving Michigan for the San Francisco Bay Area to join a “clean tech” company, Enphase Energy as Treasurer. As an Entrepreneur Bob started and successfully sold two businesses, one focused on investor relations communications and the other, a specialty retailer of Herman Miller, Inc. furniture and through his consulting business, RFD, LLC. he assisted his clients in acquiring capital to fund growth and evaluating business transition alternatives. Bob has also served on the Board of Education Associates of Black River Charter School and on the Board of Directors of Rest Haven, a faith-based continuing care adult retirement organization. Bob received his MBA with a finance concentration from Western Michigan University and his bachelor’s degree in economics from Kalamazoo College. He lives in the Ludington, Michigan area in the summer and Tucson in the winter with his wife of 35yrs, Barb. He has one child, Katie, 27 who recently completed her PhD and is doing Post-doc work for Washington State University in Pullman, WA.
