The CFO Leadership Council Features Treasury Session: Responding to Banking Failure and Mitigating Risks

The CFO Leadership Council (CFOLC), a professional association whose mission is to empower senior financial executives to realize success in their careers, presents a featured session at this year’s annual conference on June 6-8: “Confidence in Crisis: Responding to Banking Failure,” led by Tom Hunt, CTP, Director of Treasury and Payment Services at the Association for Financial Professionals. The session will focus on the importance of reviewing bank relationships, bank concentration, cash and investment mix, and counterparty risk as part of a comprehensive risk management strategy.

Attendees will hear Tom Hunt’s insights into how corporate treasury departments responded during the crisis and review the events that led to the failures of SVB, Signature Bank, and Credit Suisse. In today’s uncertain economy, strategic financial leadership has never been more pivotal. “Recent banking failures have highlighted the need for financial professionals to be prepared for unexpected events,” said Kristin Todd, VP of The CFO Leadership Council. This session will provide attendees with the tools to mitigate risks and build confidence in their organization’s financial resilience. Financial professionals and corporate treasurers alike can learn from recent banking failures and prepare for potential black swan events.

For 13 years, CFOs have gathered annually in Boston to take their careers to the next level by hearing from some of the most influential financial executives in the world during exclusive panels and fireside chats. The CFO Leadership Conference East is pivotal in helping senior financial leaders drive business transformation and performance while focusing on sustainable growth for companies. This year, over 300+ senior financial leaders from various industries are expected to attend the event in person, providing a platform for members to share their experiences and strategies during these challenging times.
