Prior to joining Aura Minerals, Mr. Taylor was Vice President, Finance, Mining Operations at Endeavour Mining Corporation for a year and prior thereto, he was Vice President, Finance at Crew Gold Corporation for 6 years. These companies owned and operated gold mines and various exploration properties in West Africa, Greenland and the Philippines and he was responsible for all aspects of financial management within the organizations. He has also held senior finance roles in companies in the telecommunications sector and in the assurance practices of Ernst and Young in Vancouver and South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town and is a South African qualified Chartered Accountant.

John Wilby joined the Company in July 2007. He has over 25 years’ of senior financial experience, including ten years as CFO of Soroc Technology Inc. and five years with Moneysworth & Best Shoe Repair Inc. in financial and operational roles. He obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University. John is also keenly interested in early American jazz and has a large collection of early jazz and blues recordings.

Chris brings financial experience being a Math/CPA student at the University of Waterloo. Math/CPA combines co-op work experience with a background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, complemented by an equally focused study in accounting, economics, and business-related topics. Chris was also a core member of the high school electric car project alongside Kyle, exhibiting a deep passion for technology and innovation.
