Hiren Israni is the Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft India. He joined the organization in 2009 and is responsible for Microsoft’s overall financial leadership. In this role, he oversees financial and strategic planning, business performance management, financial analysis and reporting, financial controllership, internal controls, compliance, and risk management. An industry veteran of over 24 years, Hiren has worked in finance and business roles across Asia. Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked with AMD as Director of Finance, Asia Pacific. Before AMD, Hiren spent 13 years at Motorola, where he was Director of Business Operations, Mobile Devices Business, South West Asia. Prior to that, at Motorola Singapore, he was Regional Controller for Mobile Devices Business, Asia Pacific; and he also headed the Corporate Audit Services, Asia Pacific for Motorola, Hong Kong. Earlier, Hiren was a banker at the American National Bank of Chicago and began his career in public accounting with AF Ferguson in Mumbai. In March 2014, Hiren was selected to be amongst CFO India’s ‘CFO100 Roll of Honour’ in recognition of his contribution to corporate finance. A chartered accountant, Hiren also holds an MBA from Washington University in St Louis. He currently lives in Gurgaon with his wife and their two teenage sons. Hiren enjoys the outdoors, and spends his personal time with his family watching movies or travelling.
