Axel Wachholz, born in 1970, studied Machine Building at the Technical University Dortmund. He started his professional career as an applications consultant at the family-owned Bilstein company in Hagen. He moved to the consulting company Droege & Comp in Düsseldorf in 2000, where he focused increasingly on organizational, finance and controlling issues. In 2005 he moved to Benteler in Paderborn, where he took over Corporate Controlling as well as the Special Projects unit. From 2011 until 2017 he was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the sanitation and heating company, Viega, in Attendorn in the Sauerland region. Since January 1, 2018, as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), he is a Member of the Phoenix Contact Executive Board. Phoenix Contact is a global market leader for components, systems, and solutions in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and automation and currently employs more than 16,500 people worldwide. Michael Pontzen was born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, in 1969. After obtaining a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the Philipps University in Marburg, he started his career as assistant to the Management Board of Ferrostaal AG in Essen, Germany. In 1999, he joined MAN AG as a manager in Investor Relations before moving to EADS (now Airbus) in Munich, Germany, in August 2001, where he was a team leader in Investor Relations.
