As the CFO of Fiberio Technology of Austin, Texas, Brian Gilliam is responsible for all Finance, Accounting, HR and Legal functions of a startup company that develops and supplies equipment for the fabrication of nanofibers. He was recruited by the CEO to develop standardized accounting and financial reporting framework, systems infrastructure, policies, budgeting, forecasting, corporate performance management, audit functions, bank relations, risk management and interface with capital markets. As the Director of Finance of Renew Data Corporation of Austin, Texas, Gilliam was responsible for all Finance & Accounting functions of a global technology service and software provider. He reported directly to the CEO. Gilliam’s main responsibilities included monthly financials, board package preparation, budgets orecast, and development of policies and procedures. He was primarily responsible for all capital market positioning and capital funding including 3 rounds of equity fundraising including all financial due diligence and legal paperwork and investor relations (over $70M raised). Gilliam handled all bank relations including negotiations on multiple facility amendments in a tough credit market, equipment and building lease negotiations, and all compliance documents. Gilliam also managed external audits and made determinations for revenue recognition.
