Wade Miquelon

Wade Miquelon is executive vice president, chief financial officer and president of international for Walgreen Co., based in Deerfield, Ill. Miquelon leads Walgreens finance functions and development of the company’s strategic partnership with Alliance Boots and other potential international partnerships. He also is responsible for the company’s value creation services and international division. Miquelon’s extensive international experience, and the central role he played in bringing Walgreens and Alliance Boots together, gives him both the experience and expertise to lead the effort to create the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise. Miquelon joined Walgreens in June 2008 from Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Foods, Inc., the world’s largest processor and marketer of chicken, beef and pork, where he was an executive vice president and CFO since 2006. Prior to that, Miquelon spent 16 years with The Procter & Gamble Company, the world’s largest consumer goods product company, where he was assigned to the company’s headquarters in Cincinnati and offices in Bangkok, Singapore and finally Geneva, Switzerland, where he was general manager and head of finance for Western Europe operations. Miquelon’s other affiliations include serving on the board of directors for both the Chicago Shedd Aquarium and The Wood Family Foundation. He also serves on the dean’s advisory board for University of Arkansas’s Sam Walton School of Business. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1987 and a masters of business administration degree from Washington University, St. Louis, in 1989.

Richard McPhail

Richard McPhail is senior vice president of finance control and administration. He leads all areas of finance company-wide, including financial reporting and operations, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, payments, treasury and tax. In his most recent role as senior vice president of finance, Richard led the evolution of the Company’s strategic and financial planning processes, created the decision analytics center of excellence and guided the Company’s day-to-day performance versus plan.
