Kurt Kalbfleisch joined Sphere 3D as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2014. Prior to that, Kurt was with Overland Storage from December 1993 until November 2014 and served as Overland’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Kurt is responsible for the company’s finance, accounting, legal, and facilities operations. During his tenure at Overland, Kurt has also served in several key management roles in cost accounting and finance. Prior to joining Overland, Kurt was a manufacturing budget analyst for McDonnell Douglas Corp. Kurt earned his MBA from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in Business from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

Patrick O’Malley assumed the role of EVP & CFO effective August 25, 2008. In his previous role of SVP Finance & Treasurer, he was responsible for Corp. Accounting, Reporting, Treasury, Credit & Collections and Risk Management along with Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis and support for our Business Unit GMs, Sales & other functions. In October 2005, he returned to Finance from the Sales Organization where he coordinated the Company’s activities surrounding the Consumer Electronics market as the SVP, Consumer Electronics Business Development from January 2004. O’Malley joined Seagate in 1988 & has held various management roles within the Finance organization including Manager of Consolidation & Cost Accounting, Director of Finance – Corporate FP&A, Sr. Director of Finance for Oklahoma City Operations, Sr. Director of Finance for Desktop Design, VP of Finance for Recording Media Operations & SVP of Finance for Manufacturing Operations. Prior to joining Seagate, he spent four years as a Sr. Staff Accountant for Arthur Young & Co. O’Malley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame (Class of 1984).

John Tran
CFO & COO of Backblaze
John H. Tran is the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Backblaze. Most recently, John was the chief operating officer for ImmunGene, Inc.; a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel cancer immunotherapy. John also held executive leadership roles in various private and public companies, including companies that went through initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. David Dunavant is Chief Financial Officer for Vital Records Control and is responsible for all its finance, treasury, accounting, financial planning and mergers and acquisitions activities. Before joining Vital Records Control, David was CFO of both Monogram Foods and LEDIC. Ms. George brings over 25 years of FORTUNE 150 company expertise and is a certified PMI Project Management Professional. During her career, she has carried financial management and project responsibilities for budgets that were cumulatively in excess of $40M. Ms. George served most recently as IT Director at Novartis where she was responsible for managing a variety of high profile projects along with building an IT Software Quality team. Prior to that, Ms. George served for 17 years in IT management at Abbott Laboratories where she was responsible for management of IT enterprise system implementations and software development for Manufacturing, Sales Data Warehouse, Quality and Enterprise Integration applications for the Abbott Vascular division.
