He has been employed by Identiv as Vice President Finance since February 2013, initially responsible for the Americas Region finance function, and subsequently for global finance since July 2014. Mr. Finney has spent nearly 20 years in senior financial roles in several listed multinational enterprises focused on various aspects of the electronic access control industry. Prior to Identiv, he served as North East Regional Vice President Finance for ThyssenKrupp Elevators from October 2011. From June 2004 to September 2011, Mr. Finney was Vice President Finance for ASSA ABLOY, initially leading the finance team for the Global Technologies Division from 2004 to 2007, and then as Global CFO for ASSA ABLOY Hospitality from 2008 to 2011. Prior to this, he spent from 1997 to 2004 with Tyco International, moving from Australia to the U.S. in 2001 to take up Director roles initially in Business Development and subsequently in Financial Policy & Risk Management, in which latter position he oversaw the introduction of the Sarbanes Oxley regulations into Tyco’s Fire & Security Division. Mr. Finney qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK with Coopers & Lybrand (predecessor firm to PwC), and transferred with them to Sydney, Australia. He holds a B.A. degree with Honors in Accounting & Financial Management from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
