In 1992, Ron and his wife Patty started Banyan Tree Rehabilitation, an outpatient provider of physical therapy and occupational therapy healthcare services, as well as Envision Management Corporation, which provided administrative services to the Banyan Tree Rehabilitation network and medical practices owned by third-parties. Both Banyan Tree Rehabilitation and Envision Management Corporation experienced significant growth over the ensuing years, leading Ron to focus on building an IT infrastructure to enable the centralized administrative management of medical practices using the internet—this resulted in the creation of the EnvisionOnline system, which was one of the first Software as a Service [SaaS] system dedicated to healthcare administration. In 1999 the Banyan Tree Rehabilitation clinics were sold to what is now a division of Select Medical Corporation [NYSE: SEM]. In 2000 Envision Management Corporation and the EnvisionOnline system were sold to a division of Healtheon/WebMD [Nasdaq: WBMD]. From 2000 to 2004 Ron focused on the practice of law and the creation of a new start-up entity, Diversified Process Components, Inc. Diversified Process Components, which was focused on the outsourced contract manufacturing of components used in the sanitary processing industry, was sold in 2010. Ron graduated with honors from Miami University [Oxford, Ohio] in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Ron went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree in law from the University of Akron [Akron, Ohio] in 1992, passing the Ohio bar examination that same year. In addition to being admitted to practice law in Ohio, Ron is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
