Kirsten Spears is Vice President and Corporate Controller, responsible for external reporting and accounting policy, revenue accounting, global financial shared services including payroll, and finance support for the intellectual property business group and the sales organization. Previously, she was Vice President and Corporate Controller at LSI. She joined LSI in September of 1997 and held a number of management positions in accounting and reporting before becoming the Corporate Controller in 2007. Before LSI, Ms. Spears worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in audit; for Raychem, managing a variety of accounting functions; and for Bank of America, managing branch operations. Ms. Spears holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

Bernard previously served on the board of directors of JB Oxford Inc., from July 2004 to October 2007. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting from Pace University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Management from Long Island University. The Board has concluded that Bernard should serve on the Board and the audit and compensation committees based on his extensive background as chief financial officer of a securities firm, as well as his broad experience in entrepreneurial business environments.
