Paul Murphy
CFO of Guyana Goldfields
Paul Murphy was a Partner and National Mining Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from 2004 to April 2010 and Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 1981. Throughout his career, Murphy has worked primarily in the resource sector, with a client list that includes major international oil and gas and mining companies. His professional experience includes financial reporting controls, operational effectiveness, International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), and SEC reporting issues, financing, valuation, and taxation as they pertain to the mining sector. Murphy is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Guyana Goldfields since April 2010 and Chief Financial Officer of Guyana Precious Metals since May 2012. Prior to that Ms. Anderson spent 19 years at Inco Limited (now Vale) in positions of increasing responsibility, including the last four years as Vice President and Treasurer. Ms. Anderson has more than 25 years of experience in finance and metals and mining. During her tenure with Inco, Ms. Anderson played a key role in major acquisitions and developments including the Voisey’s Bay Project in Newfoundland and Labrador and the Goro Nickel Project in New Caledonia. She was responsible for global finance and treasury activities including bank lending and capital market transactions and managed the relationships with the major credit rating agencies. She also led a variety of high-profile taskforces for Inco.
