Joe Denton was named Chief Financial Officer of Infirmary Health System in 2007, after working in the same capacity at the Health Care Authority for Baptist Health in Montgomery. Denton, whose hometown is Mobile, graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in accounting. He earned his CPA certification in 1989 and later received a master’s degree in business administration from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo. A graduate of Leadership Mobile, Denton participates in a number of Alabama Hospital Association initiatives, including the Task Force for the Future of Medicaid in Alabama. In addition, he formerly served as treasurer of Alabama Maternity, Inc., in Birmingham. He formerly served on the board of Hands on South Alabama and is currently a member of Mobile’s Senior Bowl committee.

Matt has been with CPSI since March of 2012. He previously served as Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining CPSI, Matt was the Accounting Manager for an over 800-bed hospital system based in Atlanta, Georgia and an Audit Manager in the Atlanta offices of Grant Thornton, LLP. Matt graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting and received his Masters of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. Doug Coltharp

Douglas (Doug) E. Coltharp was named chief financial officer on May 6, 2010. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Coltharp served as a partner at Arlington Capital Advisors (ACA) and Arlington Investment Partners, LLC (AIP), a boutique investment banking and private equity firm. Coltharp also served 11 years as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Saks Inc. In this role, he was responsible for recapitalizing the company and guiding it through a series of acquisitions and organic growth strategies that transformed it from a small cap, regional department store operator to a Fortune 1000 national retailer. Coltharp began his career in 1987 at Nations Bank, N.A. (now part of Bank of America) and rose to become senior vice president and head of Southeast Corporate Banking. During this time, he advised Fortune 1000 companies on capital raising and other corporate financial matters. Coltharp graduated from Lehigh University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and earned his master’s in business administration with concentrations in finance and strategic planning from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
